I am glad you are here! First, let me introduce myself, I’m Hattie. Hattie Denise Novak if you’re ever upset with me. I’m a southern gal from good 'ole Texas who drinks sweet tea, eats pecan pie, shops at Buc-ee's, asks for coke at a restaurant, and says y’all (it’s so much easier!). I enjoy reading, hand lettering, succulents, coffee, talking to people, sarcasm (because who doesn’t), but most importantly, I love Jesus. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I have been saved by grace and redeemed by the blood of the Lamb...amen, hallelujah! This will be the primary topic of my blog. I intend to share with y’all what verses have inspired me, what the Lord has shown me in my walk, and little jewels hidden in Hymns and Psalms.

The Lord inspires me through other people’s walk, hymns and their meaning, but mostly through His creation. One of my favorite scripture verses is found in Psalm 8: “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and stars which You have ordained. What is man that You are mindful of him? And the son of man that You visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels and You have crowned him with glory and honor” (Psalm 8:3-5 NKJV). Every time I peer into the twinkling night sky, awe and reverence for who God is overcomes me. He showers me with blessing, graciously and continuously forgives me, and mercifully guides me through the risky territory of this world. As J. R. R. Tolkien wrote, “It is a dangerous business going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.” What a dangerous business we have all undertaken, going out our doors, into the world! The Lord helps us keep our feet. He upholds us with His hand when we fall. He forgives us when we sin.

I invite you to join me on this dangerous business of going out of our doors. I hope my blog will provide encouragement for some of you, hope for others, and a little dose of Jesus for all!
